Polymer sintering oven
(PTFE)

These ovens are designed for specific PTFE polymer sintering applications, with a maximum operating temperature of up to 450 °C.

The insulation is engineered to ensure minimal heat loss to the external environment, while the enhanced ventilation system allows for excellent temperature uniformity inside the chamber. The system is equipped with four temperature probes that interact to monitor and optimally manage temperature ramps and thermal stability.

The motorized door facilitates loading and unloading operations. The electrical panel, designed in-house, integrates a Siemens PLC with Ethernet connection to dedicated software for remote management, enabling cycle programming and recording of time/temperature profiles.

A redundant safety system ensures temperature control, preventing the exceeding of alarm and danger thresholds. In addition, the presence of a heat exchanger allows for significant energy savings.

Air exchange

Air circulation is one of the most critical elements in oven operation. Proper airflow management ensures uniform temperature distribution, reducing process times and improving the quality of the final product.

The adopted solution involves introducing clean air at the intake, which is then mixed with the already heated air inside the oven. The airflow is then introduced into the working chamber through adjustable dampers, allowing precise control of the air volume.

This system optimizes thermal distribution and ensures stable and uniform process conditions.

Safety systems

Although the system is highly reliable, potential faults cannot be completely excluded. For this reason, the electrical panel is equipped with a second temperature controller, completely independent from the PLC and connected to a dedicated temperature probe.

It is essential that this device is set at a temperature 20 °C higher than the operating temperature in order to ensure an additional level of safety.

Control system – Siemens PLC

The oven is controlled by a Siemens PLC with the capability to store up to 49 programs. Thanks to Ethernet connectivity, the system can be interfaced with a PC and, through dedicated software, the oven can be fully managed remotely: starting processing cycles, viewing temperature/time graphs, and recording actual cycles by associating them with batch codes.

This configuration fully complies with quality standards requirements.

Alternatively, a Standard version of the controller is available, which does not allow storage of working programs.

Upon request, it is also possible to evaluate integration of the PLC with the company’s management system, subject to analysis by our IT department.
